Welcome to Oakland Wildflower Farm!
Thank you to all our customers who made our 2009 season a success.  We are most grateful.
We are closed for regular retail hours, preparing for the 2010 growing season.
Custom Garden/Habitat Kits
We will be making available to our customers custom garden/habitat kits.  Whether you are enhancing a woodland, creating a rain garden, wishing to attract more butterflies or song birds, or simply don’t really know where to start, our kits will meet your needs.  Kits include 32-2 inch pots, plant labels and even a rough sketch plan.  Due to the added level of personal service we provide with these kits, we ask that you request your kit prior to a plant sale day or better yet, make an appointment so we can spend all the time necessary together to create the best kit for you.  Our custom kits start at $64.00.
Design and Consultation
We have decided to officially offer Design and Consultation services. Please call for details.   Due to our limited personnel, we are unable to offer installation.  However, we do know and work with a few landscapers and gardeners who will install plants for you and maybe even help with hardscape.  These folks have knowledge of native plants-otherwise I wouldn’t suggest them.

- "Lawn Wars: The Struggle for a New Lawn Ethic" by Lois B. Robbins.
Part memoir, part how-to, part problem-solving, Lawn Wars gives a historical context and
resources for a new movement that is showing up across the nation. Difficulties encountered
by aspiring native landscapers are explored with wit and factual information.
Oakland Wildflower Farm is a “Grower and Educator” of Michigan native plants, located in Brandon Township between Ortonville and Oxford in northern Oakland County.  We grow a variety of wildflowers and grasses that are Michigan geno-type.  All seed sources are documented and seeds are Michigan geno-type, unless otherwise noted.  Our long-term goal is to specialize in collecting, propagating and selling plant material from southeastern Michigan, with the purpose of supplying a more localized geno-type.
